In July 2024, KBCCI proudly launched the ACTIV8-KB program to assist retailers in Hannan St, Burt Street and surrounding areas. Since its launch, the ACTIV8-KB program has continued to grow, raising awareness of the importance of shopping local and supporting businesses in our city. It has been inspiring to see the positive impact the program is having. Initiatives such as our famous unicorn in St Barbara’s Square, bringing many families to enjoy the magic only a unicorn can bring. The ACTIV8-KB Burt St Markets took place, bringing over 2,000 people into Burt St to enjoy local and Perth entertainers. Ben Cousins, Two Up Two Down Choir, Zumba, Angie the Fairy, all activities that brought hundreds of people into the CBD’s. KBCCI have recently secured further funding from BHP to continue the program for a further two years.
